To Whom It May Concern,

This letter is written in recognition and appreciation for the work accomplished by Brian Sutton and eCaerus in achieving LEED GOLD for the Westhampton Public Library. Our project was attempting to reach basic LEED certification in order to receive a $100,000 grant from the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. There is no doubt that without Mr. Sutton’s expertise, hard work and steady hand, we would not have met the LEED requirements for certification.

Initially we had relied on the project architect to pursue certification. However, after spending thousands of dollars, it became clear that LEED was a specialty that required someone with extensive experience in order to guarantee success. From our first meeting with Brian, it was exceedingly clear that he had what it took to get the job done. He was able to define the LEED requirements in a concise manner and quickly put us on track for certification.

After reviewing the LEED prerequisites and credits with our committee, specific credits were chosen, defined and assigned. The general contractor and his subs were educated and as the project moved forward, Brian worked hard to make sure everyone understood their role in the LEED process. Right through to the last submittal, Brian made sure that everything was processed correctly.

The Westhampton Public Library displays its LEED GOLD Certification with great pride. The building is energy efficient, safe and “green” in its construction and operation. The MBLC grant will go toward installing a solar voltaic system which will reduce operational costs for a generation. We are happy to recommend Brian Sutton and eCaerus for all things LEED. In addition, I wish to personally thank Brian for embracing our community’s dream and helping to make it a reality.
