This quaint Inn located in the heart of down town Adams , MA in beautiful Berkshire County. Built using only environmentally sensitive sustainable materials, guests enjoy not only the uniquely decorated motifs in each suite but also an extremely clean healthy indoor air quality.

Topia Inn is registered with the U.S. Green Building Council under the LEED for Existing Buildings: Operation & Maintenance rating system and seeking Platinum, the highest rating for a green building.

Topia was completely rebuilt in 2007 after being abandoned for years. Attention to every detail is evident the moment you approach the Inn. The exterior is all natural wood, much of which was harvested and milled locally from managed forests.

Some of the green features include photo voltaic solar panels that generated over 9,800 kWh (that's kilo watt hours) last year. That's more the average house consumes in a year. There is a rain water harvesting system used to water the organic vegetable garden. The remaining site is completely impervious and use Stabiligrid Driveways advanced pervious, water-permeable alternative to concrete or asphalt paving. There are even green roofs on the three porches.

The interior is even more impressive! Biodiesel boiler, super efficient heating and cooling with an HRV (energy recovery ventilator) and HEPA air filter, natural ventilation, plenty of daylight, LED and CFL lighting, natural plaster walls, FSC certified Cherry flooring with natural finish, ultra-low flow bath fixtures, recycled glass tile and counter tops. The finishes and furnishings are in another league! Everything is natural. The air is so clean guests with MCS (multiple chemical senility) rave about their stay. No chemicals are used for cleaning.
